Experience the delights of Finnish Lapland in excellent accommodation, off-the-beaten-track, but with activities available right by the hotel door.

Our programme is based at the new Aurora Chalet Hotel, located in Luosto, 130 km north from Rovaniemi. The hotel has 28 spacious and comfortably furnished rooms. Standard room size is 25m2, and family rooms are available at 28m2. There is a lobby bar with open fire and an open-plan restaurant with grill.

That extraordinary spectacle of the northern sky, the Northern Lights, is never far away at this hotel, and features strongly in the hotel's accommodation and layout: every bedroom has special windows for viewing the colourful light display. Even the ambience of the restaurant is enlivened by panoramic windows facing north. Typical Lappish activities and adventures, from the Aurora Borealis to reindeer safaris, are available right on the hotel doorstep, just waiting to be enjoyed.

The package ends with a night in Rovaniemi, ideal for adding the Santa element to your Lapland experience, by visiting the Santa Claus Village and Santa Park, great fund for children of all ages.

The package includes:
- TRANSFERS : airport bus transfer (meeting Finnair scheduled flights, not charters) from Rovaniemi airport to Luosto and Luosto to Rovaniemi bus station & Rovaniemi bus station to Rovaniemi airport.
- 6 nights at Aurora Chalet Hotel in Luosto including half board
- 1 night in Rovaniemi at a 3 star central hotel including half board
- WINTER FISHING TRIP - ride in a sleigh drawn by snowmobile for winter ice fishing including hot coffee around a campfire. Total duration 2.5 hours.
- CROSS COUNTRY SKIING SCHOOL - learn the basics of cross country skiing whilst enjoying the atmospheric winter surroundings. Includes guidance and all necessary equipment. Total duration 2 hours.
- SAFARI TO REINDEER PARK – depart the hotel by snowmobiles (2 people sharing each snowmobile) to a local reindeer farm. Learn about reindeer husbandry and enjoy a ½-hour ride in a reindeer-drawn sled followed by a hot drink round a campfire.
Return to Luosto by snowmobiles Total duration 3 hours.
- HUSKY SAFARI - transfer by car to Husky farm for a dog-team ride lasting about 1 hour (2 persons per team). Grilled sausages & coffee round a campfire. Return by car. Total duration 2 hours.
